Best of the Best Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2015



9 June 2015 - At 19 Culinary Studio's cookbook, Lost Recipes of Malaysia, won 2nd place at the Best of the Best Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2015 held on 9 June in Yantai, China.

At 19 Culinary Studio representing Malaysia was competing with countries like Canada, China, France, Mexico, Peru and USA in the Historical Recipes category. To get 2nd placing is indeed a great honour especially it was our first attempt at publishing a cookbook. 1st place went to Mexico and 3rd place to France.

Malaysian Reserved - 11 March 2015


March 2015 - At 19 Culinary Studio's cookbook, Lost recipes of Malaysia, has been featured in the Malaysian Reserved newspaper. The review gave a thumbs up for "a gorgeously produced book". It says "This book has some really gorgeous photography. In fact it looks and seems like a coffee table book." It goes on to commend the chefs for their effort in "cataloging rare Malaysian recipes, Malaysian herbs and talking about the history of Malaysian food."

"Each recipe comes with an introduction to its origin and a description to what it is." We agree that this cookbook is "very useful and attractive for tourists, expats or as gifts for these groups."

Lost Recipes of Malaysia has been saluted as one of the finest titles of 2014 by MPH Bookstores. It has also been picked by the Gourmand Awards for Best Historical Recipes category for Malaysia. Lost Recipes of Malaysia will compete at the World Gourmand Cookbooks Awards 2015 happening in China in June.
